Ameca robot - What do you want to know

In the United Kingdom, Engineered Arts, robot maker based showing off its latest creation at this year's CES 2022, also known as Ameca, the robot is able to display what appears to be the most human-like facial expressions by the robot to date. On its webpage, the company calls Ameca "The Future Face of Robotics”.

Engineered Arts is the business of making robots that look like a humans as is possible. To that end, they have been creating for the series of robots with ever more life-like expressions. Its last models were called Mesmer and RoboThespian: robots that were able to demonstrate the wide range of emotions. They were also painted with the colors meant to mimic human skin and hair. None of the robots at Engineered Arts has been designed for do anything, and other than impress an audience. Mesmer was programmed in a way that allowed it to give a speech using the voice of a person behind the scenes. But they can’t walk and move around, they move only of their arms, hands wrists, neck, mouth, head, fingers, or eyes. But they do so in ways that look very human.

Ameca has been designed the latest robot platform: users who buy it can add Artificial Intelligence and other software to give the robot desired abilities. The software it comes with is geared toward creating life-like expressions. It can smile, wink, frown, and open/close its mouth. It can also show surprise, frustration and amusement. The video released by the company, the robot appears to wake, as if from a nap. As it does so, it appears to be surprised by its existence. And it behaves as if startled when suddenly looking at the camera as if suddenly spotting the viewer looking at it. According to developers, Ameca is the face of human-robotics technology and is the most advanced robot in human form. Engineered Arts said that Ameca is the perfect platform for the human-robot interaction as it is designed as the platform to develop future robotics technologies. Features of the robot

There is much more amazed about Ameca apart from its ability to showcase facial expressions. The robot can be easily upgraded for both its hardware and software are modular. According to the company, each module can function independently, meaning you do not need for fully assembled robot and can only use its head and even a single arm. In recently, the robot is unable to walk as the fully functioning robot is yet to be designed; nevertheless, the company assured that the research is underway to make a walking robot. 

Ameca's other feature is cloud-connected focus on the owners to control it as a personal avatar, animation or simulation. As far as Artificial Intelligence is concerned, Engineered Arts said that the robot technology contains some of the software that uses Artificial Intelligence and that its main purpose is to serve as a platform to develop Artificial Intelligence. Powered by Engineered Arts' Tritium operating system, Ameca is basically subject where Artificial Intelligence and machine learning systems can be tested. According to the company, the humanoid robot will be brought to the public at the CES 2022, event which is to be held in January in Las Vegas.
